The final will be held in the Éire Óg GAA Pavilion, Ovens, Co Cork at 8pm. Capers is a variety show which incorporates singing, dancing, live music and comedy, with each show lasting no more than 20 minutes. The Capers competition in its current form has been running for over 20 years, and was previously known as Light Entertainment.

The 2019 winners were Clonakilty Macra from the Carbery region in Cork. No doubt there will be an extremely high standard on the night, which will showcase all that Macra na Feirme has to offer.

Six teams from across the country will battle it out for the top spot. These teams include Athboy from Meath, Bree from Wexford, Banteer from the Avondhu region of Cork, Callan from Kilkenny, Freemount from the Avondhu region of Cork and Whitechurch from the Seandun region of Cork.

All of the teams battled stiff competition to qualify for their semi finals, which were held on the 11 January.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming all of the teams and their supporters to Ovens. It’s going to be a fantastic event and I wish all of the teams the very best of luck,” Muskerry chairperson Alan Twomey said.

Tickets, which can be bought on the night, are €13 for Macra na Feirme members and €15 for non-members. Doors open at 7pm and the main event starts at 8pm sharp.
