Aberdeen Angus bulls sold to a sale-topping 5,600gns at the show and sale of native beef breeds in Dungannon Mart on Tuesday.

The top-priced Angus bull was Richill Major, bred by Robin Lamb. This March 2018-born animal, sired by Weeton King Lear and out of the homebred Richill Missie, was also awarded male champion.

William McMordie from Ballygowan Co. Down with last year's Reserve Champion Hereford and this year's Champion, at the Native Breeds' Show and Sale, Dungannon.

Reserve

Reserve male champion went to Drumhill Darius, offered by Jonathan and Lisa Doyle.

This February 2018 bull was sired by Hallington Jack Eric and went on to sell for 3,800gns.

In the Hereford sale, bulls peaked at 3,400gns for the breed champion, Solpoll 1 Rampage from John McMordie.

Sired by Moeskaer Upgrade and out of the homebred Solpoll 1 Dainty, the animal was born in April 2018.
