Irish agricultural business Nutribio has secured a manufacturing agreement in South Africa worth €1.3m a year. Nutribio is owned by Co-op Animal Health Group (CAHG) and based in Tullow, Co Carlow.
The animal husbandry input supply company, which manufactures animal nutrition products, has entered the deal with Norbrook East Africa, a subsidiary of Norbrook Labratories, a provider of veterinary products.
The announcement comes as a part of Enterprise Ireland’s trade mission to South Africa and Kenya, where over 40 Irish companies are participating. The trade mission was led by Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys.
Employment
It is expected that the three-year deal will create employment in both Kenya and Ireland, with further scope for creation of manufacturing facilities locally.
The new partnerships across the mission include other sectors such as education, telecoms, construction and life sciences.
