Peugeot has launched the new Peugeot e-208, 3008 Hybrid4 and 508 Hybrid, as the French brand embraces a rapid electrification roll-out in 2020. The new models complement existing petrol and diesel versions of their respective ranges. Peugeot claims that its offering gives customers the option to choose the model, then the powertrain without compromising on space, technology, looks or driving sensations. By 2023, 100% of the Peugeot passenger car and light commercial vehicles range will be electrified.
The new Peugeot e-208, retails from €27,334 inclusive of SEAI grant and VRT relief, and is available in Active, Allure, GT Line and the flagship GT trim. The 100kW (136bhp) electric unit with 50kWh battery claims a drive range of up to 340km.
The battery is guaranteed for eight years or 160,000km, for up to 70% retention, certifiable by the Peugeot dealer network. Interior and boot space are identical to the internal combustion engine (ICE) versions as the batteries are distributed under the floor pan.
Finbarr Galvin is Ireland’s top Seat dealer
Bandon-based dealership Finbarr Galvin Ltd, has been announced as SEAT Ireland’s dealer of the year 2019. This is the third time the Cork dealership has claimed the SEAT dealer of the year award, having claimed the title in 2015 and 2016. The dealership has consistently been one of SEAT’s top-performing retailers and employs 16 staff in the SEAT side of the business, and 32 staff in its total operation.
