51 acres bid to €170,000

A large, fragmented block located at Lisnaville, Fuerty, Co Roscommon, recently came to auction. The property was offered in seven different lots as well as the entire. The entire was offered first and bid to €150,000. The individual lots were then offered, however some lots did not garner much interest.

At this point the entire was re-offered and was bid to €170,000. At which point it was withdrawn and currently remains under negotiation. The property was originally guided at €200,000 and does not come with any entitlements. John Earley, of Property Partners Earley, is looking after the sale,

“With so many lots and a very fragmented farm, it can be difficult to get a buyer for each lot, the biggest block on offer is 22ac.”

28 acre sells for €150,000

Property Partners Earley also had another 28ac parcel up for auction.

The property opened at €120,000, with three active bidders seeing this increase to €150,000 – when the hammer dropped at a price of €5,357/ac.

Of the entire, 20ac would be described as good quality, while the remaining eight acres were of lesser quality.

The farm has been let for the past 10 years and is in need of some attention.

It is believed a local farmer purchased the block.
