Progressive Genetics has temporarily suspended manual milk recording services until 30 March, the electronic DIY milk recording service will continue.

Its breeding advisors will continue to deal with customers either by pre-arranged visit (if required) adhering to strict hygiene protocols or remotely via phone (or other digital means). Its AI technicians will continue to visit farms, as will delivery and nitrogen servicing drivers. Dovea Genetics has reassured its farmers that it is open and fully operational as things move towards the breeding season. AI and liquid nitrogen deliveries farm visits will continue.

Munster Bovine has also committed to providing a continuity of services. “We will service all of your breeding, milk recording, herd health and liquid nitrogen requirements throughout this ongoing situation,” Kevin Coffey its chief executive said in a letter to farmers.
