A total of 29 Irish companies are exhibiting at the Bord Bia Origin Green stand at the Anuga food and drink trade show in Cologne, Germany.

Anuga is the largest show of its kind in the world this year.

The consolidation of beef and sheep meat processing across Britain and Ireland is reflected in Dawn Meats joining ABP in having a separate stand in the meat hall. This reflects the fact that these companies are spread across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well.

Kepak, which has returned to processing in Britain with the acquisition of the 2Sisters red meat companies, remains part of the Origin Green stand.

Meat and dairy

All of the major meat exporting countries in the world have a strong presence at the show, which opened on Saturday and runs until Wednesday 9 October.

Glanbia Ireland, Kerry, Ornua and Dansko are present in the dairy hall.

The Irish Farmers Journal will be bringing full reports from the show online and in print next Thursday.
