Trimble announced the new GFX-350 display and NAV-500 guidance controller (receiver) during Agritechnica 2019. The new display is aimed at customers looking for a step up from the entry level EZ Guide 250, but not quite to the 10.1in GFZ-750 display or beyond, but still want to introduce auto-steering and application control to their operation.

The 7in GFX-350 uses an Android-based high-definition touchscreen display. The new display is compatible with the NAV-900 guidance controller as well as the NAV-500 model.

Plug and play

The display offers plug-and-play capabilities for Isobus-enabled implements ,acting as a universal operating terminal. Built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allows for the sharing of data between office and field via Trimble’s Connected Farm services if required.

The NAV-500 uses Trimble’s ViewPoint RTX satellite correction service, providing accuracy to 15cm. The NAV-500, when paired up with the GFX-350 or the larger 750 model, can provide manual guidance or automatically controlled steering with the EZ-Steer or EZ-Pilot Pro steering systems. With the GFX-350 and NAV-500 receiver, the customer can select a display and receiver to suit their needs and budget thanks to the flexible integration of the Trimble systems.

If, for instance, a customer requires greater accuracy or a larger terminal in the future, either one of the two can be upgraded without having to upgrade the other.

The GFX-350 display and NAV-500 guidance controller are now available.
