Right from the offset 2019 was set to be a busy year with three major shows at home and abroad in the first couple of months of the year. We had Lamma show in the UK, our FTMTA machinery show in Punchestown followed by SIMA show in Paris all before the beginning of March.

We attended multiple press launches all across Europe throughout the year in the build-up to Agritechnica, what is believed to be the world’s largest indoor machinery exhibition, which takes place every two years in Hannover, Germany.

Agritechnica in November wasn’t just the end of our travels for the year. Shortly after, Peter Thomas Keaveney travelled to New Zealand. Peter spent 25 days travelling both North and South islands where he travelled over 5,400 kilometres, meeting over 52 contractors along with key personnel in the New Zealand machinery trade. Some of Peter’s stories and videos from his travels are available to read in the paper over the Christmas period with more to follow in the coming months.

At the same time as all this travelling was going on, we brought you some of the best machinery stories from across Ireland. From new to old, big to small, we covered it all. Alongside bringing you the latest news of the industry and numerous user stories, we also gave our verdicts as we got behind the wheel of a number of machines over the course of the year.

As 2020 fast approaches, we look forward to bringing you more unique content. From user stories and machine reviews to our new Made in Ireland page. Here we aim to highlight the standard of engineering and innovation that takes place across the country, putting Irish manufacturing up there among the best in the world.

Over the past year we’ve brought our pages to life with miles and miles of video footage from our travels. Below are just some of our video highlights from 2019 so sit back and enjoy.
