When buying a new spreader, it is necessary to assess what level of technology can be justified for your operation.

Some of the key technologies available in modern fertiliser spreaders will be the topic of discussion at the 2019 Crops & Spreaders open day next Wednesday 26 June at Oak Park, Co Carlow.

There will be live fertiliser spreader demonstrations, which aim to showcase some of these technologies.

The discussions and demonstrations aim to inform farmers about these technologies and whether they will get the full benefit from them in their own systems.

These technologies will include weighing systems, headland management and GPS systems.
