Monday

It will be generally dry according to Met Éireann, with frost and fog lifting only slowly during the morning. Sunny spells should develop after fog clears but there will be a good deal of cloud in northern coastal counties and the odd shower could linger in parts of the south into the afternoon. It will be cold, with afternoon highs of 5°C to 8°C in light breezes.

Monday night will be dry apart from the odd coastal shower in the northwest. It will be cloudy at times in Connacht and west Ulster, but there will be long clear spells elsewhere. There will be lows of -3°C to +3°C, coldest in the east and south under clearer skies. A sharp ground frost will form in these parts.

Tuesday

It will be mostly dry on Tuesday, with frost clearing during the morning under spells of sunshine. It will, however, be cloudier in west Connacht and west Munster, with the odd patch of light rain or drizzle possible there. Highs will range from 6°C to 10°C, coldest in Ulster.

Cloud will thicken in Atlantic coastal counties on Tuesday night, with a little patchy rain or drizzle developing by morning. It will remain dry elsewhere though, with variable cloud and clear intervals. Minimum temperatures will range from 3°C to 7°C.

Wednesday

It will be largely dry over the eastern half of the country on Wednesday, with a mix of cloud and sunshine. It will be mostly cloudy further west during the morning, with patchy rain and drizzle. It will become drier and brighter in the afternoon. Top temperatures will range from 8°C to 10°C.

There will be clear spells for a time early on Wednesday night, but cloud will increase from the Atlantic later. Outbreaks of rain will develop in the west and north by dawn. Minimum temperatures of 1°C to 5°C will occur early on in the night, increasing by morning.

Thursday

It will be Mostly cloudy, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle gradually extending eastwards, heaviest and most persistent in the west and north. It will be mild and windy, with moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds, strong to near gale at the coasts.

Friday

Current indications from Met Éireann suggest a mix of sunshine and showers, some possibly heavy. Afternoon highs will range from 7°C to 10°C.
