“It’s with great disappointment that we find ourselves here in Charleville to try and highlight what we were guaranteed that we were going to be paid for our milk products. It’s very disappointing.”
Niall McCarthy, Labasheeda, Co Clare

“I’m here because we’re owed for milk in 2015,16,17, 18 and 19. We’re behind in price for years. We were promised the leading milk price below in Tralee and we haven’t got it.”
Jerome Crowley, Beaufort, Co Kerry.

“This is our third protest. We got an arbitration ruling on 6 September and we were expecting at that stage we would have an engagement between Kerry Group plc and our elected representatives in Kerry Co-op to finalise the arbitrator’s decision. We decided to launch a campaign because that wasn’t happening.
Fergus McCarthy, Knocklong, Co Limerick.

“It was going to be written in a contract that was going to be drawn up in 2015; 90% of Kerry suppliers signed that contract and it was written into it that on a like-for-like basis we would be paid the leading milk price and they didn’t pay the leading milk price.”
