1. Agivey House, Aghadowey

Agivey House in Aghadowey near Coleraine, Co Derry, was offered up for sale in September with a guide of £1.9m (€2.2m) for the whole property.

The sale was being managed jointly by two real estate firms, namely Savills and Bensons.

Agivey House itself is laid out over four floors, including a basement, and retains period features, such as Georgian sliding sash windows.

2. Craigs Road, Rasharkin

In October, a residential farm with a building site, 33 acres of land and 180 acres of lowland bog was offered up for sale in Rasharkin, Co Antrim.

The overall guide price for the entire property, which is located off the Craigs Road, was £650,000 (€752,000). The sale was being managed by Kilrea-based auctioneers HA McIlrath & Sons.

Lowland bog is not often offered up for sale in Northern Ireland. The 180 acres on this property was available as a separate lot with a guide price of £225,000 (€260,000).

3. Belle Isle, Lough Erne

In August, 450 acres of land was offered up for sale on the banks of Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.

The property included a grade B+ listed castle, 17 cottages and apartments, four private islands, agricultural land, woodland and gardens.

Belle Isle Estate had a guide price of £7.5m (€8.6m) and its sale was being managed by real estate firm Savills.

4. Mountsandel Road, Coleraine

Almost all farmland is sold through private treaty in Northern Ireland, but a rare exception occurred in March 2023.

A farm, yard and building site on the edge of Coleraine, Co Derry, was offered up for sale by public auction.

The 59-acre is farm is located at Warnock’s Lane on the Mountsandel Road. Overall, the entire property was guided by McIlraths at £1.075m (€1.226m).

5. Squires Hill, Belfast

A hill farm on the edge of Belfast was launched on the market by real estate firm O’Connor Kennedy Turtle in September.

Most of the land is on the peak known locally as Squires Hill. The farm extends to 233 acres in total and offers in excess of £1m (€1.16m) were being sought.
