A circa 69ac non-residential farm in east Cork sold at auction last week for €27,000/ac (€1.887m). An executor sale, the land at Abbeylands, Mohera, Castlelyons was laid out in 11 divisions.

Offered for sale in three lots or in its entirety, the land is on the outskirts of the village of Castlelyons.

O’Donovan & Associates, Newcastle West handled the sale and had a guide price in the region of €20,000/ac on the property in advance of the auction.

Irish Country Living understands that the purchaser is involved in equestrian and drystock, while a pair of underbidders consisted of a person with an equestrian enterprise and a dairy farmer.

The auction was conducted both in person at the Firgrove Hotel and online via the lslauctions.com platform on Wednesday, 28 February.
